Darragh Brannigan

Darragh Brannigan is a multi-instrumentalist, hailing from Skerries, Co. Dublin. Initially, he studied classical piano, as well as teaching himself drums and guitar. Darragh holds a BA in music at DkIT. It was here that he became obsessed with Irish Traditional music, focusing his studies primarily on the tenor banjo, mandolin, bouzouki and guitar accompaniment. Since graduating in 2016, Darragh has amassed a wealth of performance experience of a wide variety of contexts and styles of music, both nationally and internationally. He is no stranger to the Irish summer festival circuit, having performed with different bands at Eletric Picnic, Body and Soul and Longitude, among many others. He has also performed in venues such as Whelan’s, Workman's Club, Roisin Dubh, The Duncairn and The Helix. In 2018, he toured throughout Germany extensively with the Irish dance show Celtic Rhythms of Ireland and has also performed in Belgium, UK, and, in 2021, the United Arab Emirates, representing Ireland at the World Expo. Darragh is delighted to be returning to the cast of Seven Drunken Nights - The Story of The Dubliners for his second tour with the production.
