Neil is a true Dublin banjo player. His playing has been described as intricate, virtuosic with exceptional drive. During his studies at the conservatoire Neil studied tenor banjo with Kieran Hanrahan and demonstrates technical skill and honour of traditional music in his playing. He exemplifies a clear knowledge of Irish traditional music and executes this with both clean precision and heart. His virtuosity and talent has led him to becoming an award winning performer including a recipient of the Leo Rowsome Medal of Excellence in Traditional Music Performance. Credits include: Temple Bar Tradfest 2023, A member of the National Folk Orchestra of Ireland, 2018 Papal visit to Ireland in 2018, Harp au Max Festival France, James Joyce Bloomsday Festival in Madrid.
